Alison has been practicing yoga and meditation for twenty years, and teaching professionally for nine.

Prior to teaching, Alison classically trained as an actor and dancer, performing in plays, films, commercials, & music videos in NYC/LA. She received a Degree in Drama from LaGuardia High School of Performing Arts, as well as her BFA in Acting from Ithaca College.

After five years working in the industry, Alison craved a modality where she could utilize her skills as a performer to help people connect with their mind, body, and spirit. Seeking an answer, she attended a Yoga and Meditation workshop at Esalen Institute in Big Sur, CA. It was here Alison realized she wanted to be a yoga teacher.

Her education began at Kripalu Center in Stockbridge, MA where she received a 200 hour intensive training in 2015. Shortly after, she received her Kids Yoga teacher training from HOSH in Brooklyn, NY. In 2016, Alison co-lead a workshop in Costa Rica that focused on public speaking using yoga, meditation, and techniques from her performance training. In 2018 she received her 300 hour intensive training while living in an ashram near Quito, Ecuador.

Since receiving trainings, Alison has introduced yoga to 1,000+ children in public, charter, and private schools for students with disabilities. Her classes for adults have brought her to studios, parks, and music festivals. Alison is passionate about supporting students as they build mental and physical resilience, develop self-connection, and foster a sense of play.
