Alison is a teacher, performer, and producer based on the East Coast.
She teaches yoga, dance, and theatre to people of all ages,
performs on stage, screen, and film,
and produces films, yoga gatherings, and an Artist Collective described below.
Her life onstage began at the neighborhood community theatre
on Roosevelt Island, called The Main Street Theatre.
She attended acting and dance classes as a child,
and performed in plays, musicals, and variety shows.
She received a Drama Degree from LaGuardia High School of Performing Arts,
and her BFA in Acting from Ithaca College.
Seeking new adventures after graduating,
Alison drove across the country to Los Angeles. She performed
in numerous plays, films, music videos & one commercial.
After 5 years, Alison felt that something was missing.
In search of the answer, she drove to Esalen Institute in Big Sur
for a Yoga and Meditation Workshop.
It was here she realized that another path was calling - being a teacher.
Alison moved back to the East Coast and did two things immediately:
-Received a 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training at Kripalu Center of Yoga & Health.
-Founded an artist's collective focused on facilitating new creations,
under the name of Community Room.
A new play/screenplay/pilot is read and discussed monthly.
Attendees have the chance to play in a safe space,
and the author has an opportunity to hear their work aloud and receive feedback.
Soon after, she received her Kids Yoga Teacher Training from HOSH Kids.
Recently, she obtained a 300 hour teacher training in Ecuador,
and is now a 500 hour Registered Yoga Teacher.
Alison loves plants, cooking, movement, art, and following The Golden Rule.
She is currently writing her first screenplay.
